Synopsis

The Undercurrent transports viewers to the world of a group of young people in the city of Boise, Idaho. Initially, activism in the fight for climate justice appears to be the uniting factor in the group, but it becomes clear that this connection is interrelated to other issues that affect and unite them including gender inequality, their parents lack of understanding and coping with homelessness. The result is a disarming portrait of the insecurities, hopes and expectations of a generation.
